Barbarians - High-colour Graphics
Copyright (C) Damian Walker 2012

The original Barbarians game for EPOC32 comes with graphics in 4 greyscales or 16 colours, to keep down the amount of memory that the game needs. But people with more storage space on their Psion devices might like to take advantage of the full graphical abilities for their machines.

For this reason I have (belatedly) released this patch for all EPOC32 machines, offering 256 colours on the netBook and Series 7, and 16 greyscales for other machines. The map and the icons were hand-drawn in 16 colours or 4 greyscales, so this will not change. But the title screen, panel graphics and battle scenes will all be shown in as many shades as your computer will allow.

NOTE: Geofox owners will need to apply the OPL16 patch before playing Barbarians (or any game) in 16 greyscales. Failure to apply the patch will cause your machine to reboot when you attempt to play a high-colour game!

This ZIP file contains this Readme file, the license and all the graphics files for all EPOC32 devices. Either copy all of the files to your device, or just the GFX and MBM files that are named for your device's screen resolution if you know it. They need to go into the \System\Apps\Barbarians folder of the same drive onto which you installed Barbarians. Future versions of this file may include a SIS file instead.
