Barbarians

Barbarians is a game of strategy for one player, running on the Psion Series 3a, 3c, 3mx, Siena and Workabout. You take the lead of a civilised league of twelve cities at the very time the barbarians are entering the land. Your task is to raise armies and send them against the advancing hordes, and you will not rest until every last one is wiped out. While this is going on, you have to manage your empire's economy. [Taken from the manual, available separately.]

This ZIP file contains the program for Series 3a, 3c, 3mx, Siena and Workabout. Files contained in the archive are:

All the files in the \APP and \BARB3X directories should be transferred to your Psion through the 3Link in whatever way you find convenient (PsiWin or a terminal program). Alternatively, if you have the PsiZip application installed, you can transfer the ZIP file and unzip on the Psion. Once done, add Barb3x to your system screen using the Install application menu option.

While the game will fit in internal memory, an SSD is recommended at least for 256K Series 3a users. All files must reside on the same drive. Users of the Workabout and Siena can remove all the WVE files to save some space, as those machines do not play them. Users of all machines can remove the graphics files (GFX and PIC) related to machines other than their own - see the file list above.
